Because different providers each have their own specialty service (often because they don’t have state of the art technology, or because it is less expensive to offer one service rather than a variety), each provider would often attempt to convince you that their specialty was what you needed. Whether your company specializes in building trucks, manufacturing goods, selling tires or even making pies, your focus is on doing this well, not attempting to become an expert on what type of t1 you need, where you can find it, then becoming knowledgeable about pricing so that you don’t get scalped on the contract. At one time, providers counted on all of the above mentioned challenges, and because of this, enjoyed the advantage when you were shopping for t1. All of this has now changed. As the authorized agent for the top 20 telecom providers in the country, we now have the ability to provide you with online, unbiased, real-time availability and price quote comparisons. We also provide free consultation with no obligation to help you select the type of T1 which would best meet your needs, and which provider provides, at the best cost. Other than a desire to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service and customer care, we do not favor one provider over another. Our advice is completely impartial. You do not sign a contract with us; we assist you through the contract process to be signed directly with the provider. No middle man. Since three years ago, when we initiated the concept of all providers’ quotes being presented to the customer in one real-time easy to read chart, the price average price of T1 has dropped approximately $250. per month. This is not a coincidence! To check bandwidth prices for your business, complete the pricing tool at the top of this page. It’s real-time, simple, free, and there is no obligation.  Modern VPNs

Written by: Dennis Green - Oct 16, 2008

Virtual private networks (VPNs) utilize major advancements in technology to establish secure private communication channels, for the transfer of data, over shared networks such as private intranets or the internet. Currently, the most popular and state-of–the-art virtual private networks are based on MPLS (multiprotocol label switching). MPLS provides any-to-any connectivity over T1 or higher bandwidth. The best MPLS networks are facilitated within the closed systems of specific tier 1 providers. With this scenario, MPLS networks are as secure as point-to-point circuits. With quality of service (QoS), MPLS networks are extremely well suited for transmitting voice, priority files, multiple location audio or videoconferencing, or high quality video transmission. For two location networks, a point-to-point private line continues to be a bit less expensive than a MPLS virtual private network. However, point-to-point lines are not normally managed by providers, so with point-to-point lines, obtaining customer premise equipment, and configuring and maintaining the equipment is the responsibility of the end user. For multiple location networks, or two location networks which you know will increase in number of locations, MPLS can be far more functional, and far less expensive than a network comprised of point-to-point lines. In most cases, full T1 or DS3 MPLS VPNs are provided with all needed hardware, installation, configuration and management of the network by the provider for about the same cost, or just slightly more, per location, than managed internet service. Managed MPLS networks are pretty much turn key for the end user. There are also a variety of options for networking DSL or Cable service as well. As the authorized sales agents for the top 20 telecom providers in the country, we can provide free comparative quotes for completely managed virtual private networks for any locations in the US, regardless of the bandwidth needed at each location. We can also provide quotes for international VPNs (including MPLS options as well). (Click here to return to top of page)
